Gracious Seniors is a program for retired people of all ages, held on the third Thursdays of February, May, August and November. The group shares a meal at noon and then sees a presentation from that month's guest speaker. Our programs are very interesting and are open to anyone, Grace members and non-members alike. It is a wonderful afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun. Please RSVP so they have a ballpark idea of how much food to prepare.
Next Luncheon Gathering The next Gracious Seniors Luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 15 at 12 noon. Our guest speaker will be Ron Nelson, who is very eager to tell us about his service in the Peace Corps. Grace member Bonnie Day suggested her friend to us, recommending him for this program because “Ron is a great storyteller who loves to talk about his experiences.” We hope you can join us to enjoy a good meal and find out about the wonderful humanitarian work done by the volunteers of the Peace Corps.
The meal for February will be chili. Any sides, beverages, or dessert you could bring would be greatly appreciated. Keep an eye out for the signup sheets to be posted on bulletin boards at church, and please plan to join us!
Do you or perhaps a friend have an interesting hobby or pictures from a trip that you would like to share at one of our future Senior Luncheons? We have had some great programs presented by our own members and are always looking for more. Talk with Sandy Schantz (contact info above) if you are interested in sharing.
On Thursday, February 15 at noon, the group enjoyed a delicious lunch of chili and other treats. Following the meal, guest speaker Ron Nelson shared pictures, artifacts, and stories about his service in the Peace Corps, and the wonderful work they do.
