Grace Lutheran Church
Music Ministry

Organist-Choir Director Steve Ziminsky
The music program at Grace Lutheran have varied parts to match the skills and interests of everyone in the congregation. In summary the musical organizations and their activity is:
Senior Choir - Provides support at the 10:30 AM Worship Service, as well as
assists at 8:00am as scheduled
Junior Choir - Sings, once a month, at the 10:30 AM Worship Service
Bell Choir - Plays, once a month at the 10:30 AM Worship Service
Vocal/Instrumental/Solo's and Groups - Persons and groups from the choir and
congregation present musical selections at the 8 AM and 10:30 AM Worship
Services.
Organ/Piano - The pipe organ at Grace was rebuilt and expanded in 2000. The
organ has great tonal variation and power to support the choirs and
congregation.
The senior choir is open to interested persons, age
15 and older. The choir performs at each 10:30 AM service; except during the
summer when the choir is on "vacation" and music is provided by
special groups each week at the single 9:00AM service.
Vocal - Instrumental - Soloist and Groups - Directed by Steve Ziminsky. People from the choir and congregation are scheduled to participate as soloist or group singers in both the 8 AM and 10:30 AM Worship Services. The opportunity to perform alone or in a group has proven to be welcomed and exciting by the participants, because of the sense of individual accomplishment. Rehearsals for each solo/group are scheduled for 9AM on Sundays and either before (6:30 PM) or after Thursday Senior Choir rehearsals.
Rehearsals are both work sessions and fun occasions, held every Thursday at 7 PM.
An annual Christmas Cantata, a Christmas party and a spring banquet round out the excitement.
